ELT is excited to announce the details of our 4th annual unconference as we continue our mission to:
- share, engage and network with fellow instructional technology practitioners
- brainstorm, develop and find collaborators on a new idea/topic and
- remove the isolation of practice and strengthen a community of practice…after all we are in the silo removal business!

For this year’s unconference we’ll be introducing tracks to guide the conversations about topics you find interesting. The tracks this year will be Teaching and Learning, Digital Media, TechGeek and Wildcard.

If you are eager to dive in to these kinds of discussions with like-minded people, this unconference is for you.

When: Friday October 14, 2011 from 9:00AM-1:30PM.

Where: The Ohio State University | College Commons, College of Education and Human Ecology | 260 Ramseyer Hall | 29 W Woodruff Ave | Columbus, OH 43210

Who should attend: Anyone in Ohio interested in the intersection of technology and education

How: The content (i.e. the conference sessions) will be determined on the day of the unconference in a preliminary planning session.

Register: Use this site to register for the unconference. New crowdvine users should click on create an account to register. Prior crowdvine members should join the network to register.

Snackluck: You are encouraged to bring a snack to share as you might for a potluck. If you'd like to share in the snackluck we ask that you bring a non-perishable dish or use cold packs since we will not have a refrigerator near the conference location. Participation in the snackluck is optional; please do not let it deter you from participating in the unconference. A number of us will be gathering for a late lunch after ELTU which you are welcome to join in.

We're in the process of revamping our first floor space to be a more collaborative open area. We'll be formulating a plan for our 4th floor next. Our budget cuts will affect how far we can take the usability lab we were proposing.
What's the word on your end? My take on the last meeting was that an inventory and needs assessment would identify what studio spaces we have, their capabilities and then define requirements for a centralized studio. Do you have any of this data?

Terry Bradley: Definitely compelling, and this is where I think "cloud computing" could really be useful in the academic community. I'm probably on the ig-no-runt end of this continuum, but discussion time on this topic would be excellent.
